Hello dear friends of the 089 Bar,

The year is almost over already! We hope you had lots of great moments this year, such as celebrating a successful university graduation, landing a great job, getting a cool promotion, meeting lovely people or going on mega trips vacation abroad!

As we say: Living in Munich, at home in the world!

All of these are good reasons to say goodbye to the year properly, we are celebrating New Year’s Eve 7 times in one night! And usually all your friends are spread out all over the city on New Year’s Eve and you don’t manage to see and hug everyone at midnight, so with us you still have plenty of chances to catch up. So why not arrange to meet up with us in the many other time zones? That way, you can meet all your friends, girlfriends, girlfriends, and anyone else you’d like to see on New Year’s Eve.

10 PM Africa / Nairobi… Since we are certainly not lacking in good spirits even at such an early hour, it will surely not be difficult for one or two of us to sing along to Toto’s “Africa”.

11 PM Greece / Athens… a Sirtaki and back. Everything’s much easier with a little ouzo in your head.

Midnight Munich… there’s always something going on… kiss, have a drink, toast, and pop the corks! Group hugs are a MUST!

1 a.m. Great Britain / London… anyone who’s already drinking like an Englishman might not live to see next New Year’s Eve.

4 a.m. Brazil / Rio de Janeiro … in Brazil, on New Year’s Eve, people jump over 7 waves; this brings good luck. We celebrate New Year’s Eve 7 times and if you wear red underwear, you have a fantastic year ahead of you in 2026. A little superstition never hurt anyone.

6 a.m. USA / New York… Let’s imagine that the middle bar is the Empire State Building, so everyone up on the bar and party!

9 Uhr USA / Las Vegas … What happens ins Vegas…. Ihr wisst Bescheid…

Seven times New Year’s Eve, seven times the first kiss of the new year, seven times countdown, anticipation, excitement, toasting, celebrations and euphoria, and by the time you reach the second time zone, strangers have become friends, and for everyone who is alone, the chances of one or two kisses increase immensely.

Hopefully, it goes without saying that one dresses up a bit for New Year’s Eve.
